UCanDoIT have won funding to extend our home training services to disabled people in Liverpool, Manchester and surrounding areas. The funding from the Westminster Foundation will enable the charity to appoint a Local Outreach Officer/ Administrator to help us promote our service to disabled people and other organisations in the region.Read more »
Ahsan Naseer, 26, is Deaf and worked with his tutor using BSL to become the first of our learners to pass the ITQ.
Ahsan who already holds ECDL Levels 1 and 2 said “It is easier working one to one at home with a tutor who can sign than in a class”. Ahsan who lives in Forest Gate originally learnt Pakistan Sign Language and reads and writes in Urdu.Read more »
Mary, 69, of Ealing had her first lesson and became the recipient of our 35,000th lesson.
Mary (pictured with her tutor Ramesh) is originally from Northern Ireland and was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 20 years ago. She relies on her husband for care as she is unable to walk or perform many tasks on her own.Read more »
