UCanDoIT is a registered charity and charges just £5 per lesson for learners on a low income and works on a sliding scale for those on higher incomes.
The charity receives no funding from Central Government and very little from local Government and relies on grants and donations to continue its work.
There are many ways individuals or groups can help us to raise money. Here are just a few suggestions:
Fun Runs or Marathons
If you are feeling fit you could run one of these or if, like the UCanDoIT Team, you don't mind looking a little strange for a day then take part and make the "Fun" part come true. The team wearing UCanDoIT colours (orange) recently completed a Fun Run and raised over £2,500 for the charity. See News
Raffles or Auctions
Do you know any cake makers or cooks who would be willing to create a mouthwatering delight that you could raffle. A recent raffle of an iced Christmas cake raise £80 for the charity.
What about a local artist or photographer who might donate a picture. Know any celebrities? What about a local trades person or shop who might help out by donating a few hours - it's all in a good cause.
Dinner Party
Are you a fan of "Come Dine With Me" or "Restaurant in Our Living Room" ? How about holding a dinner party and asking your guests to make a donation to UCanDoIT.
